How to import a Changan NEVO from China: the export process

Importing a Changan NEVO through EVtoU follows five documented steps. In-stock vehicles can be shipped within 10 working days after payment; custom or specific models depend on sourcing and preparation, and we confirm the timeline on your quotation.

At each milestone you receive a photo or video confirming the status of your vehicle, so you always know where your order stands.

Clear and transparent procedure

The 5-step international export process

From your first message to customs clearance at destination, every step is documented and confirmed with you.

  1. 1

    Inquiry & specification

Choose model, edition, colours and quantity. We reply with a FOB or CIF quotation.

  2. 2

    Proforma invoice

Itemised PI with vehicle specification, delivery timeline and payment terms.

  3. 3

    Inspection

Pre-shipment check with photos and video. Third-party inspection such as SGS on request.

  4. 4

    Loading & shipping

Ro-Ro or container loading with professional lashing, confirmed by photos.

  5. 5

    Documents & delivery

Original export documents — bill of lading, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin.

1. Inquiry and specification

Tell us the model, edition, colours, quantity and destination — or describe how the cars will be used and we will recommend suitable models. We reply within 24 hours with availability and a FOB or CIF quotation.

2. Proforma invoice

Once you confirm the quotation, we issue a proforma invoice (PI) listing each vehicle's specification, the agreed Incoterm, the delivery timeline and the payment terms and banking details. Nothing is paid before you have the PI in hand.

3. Inspection

Before shipment, each vehicle is checked and photographed. You receive photos and video of your actual cars. If you need an independent third-party inspection, such as SGS, tell us when ordering and we will arrange it.

4. Loading and shipping

Vehicles travel by car carrier to the port and are shipped either by Ro-Ro (driven onto a vehicle carrier ship) or in containers, where they are secured with professional lashing and, where suitable, two-tier racks. Shipping fee and delivery date are negotiated per order, because they depend on destination, quantity and sailing schedules.

5. Documents and delivery

After loading, we send the original export documents your broker needs for import clearance. Additional documents can be discussed when your import authority requires them. After delivery, your sales manager remains your contact for follow-up orders and questions.

Ro-Ro or container: which shipping method is better?

Ro-Ro is usually efficient for larger quantities to ports with regular vehicle-carrier services. Containers protect the paintwork, suit smaller quantities and inland destinations, and allow mixed loads. We quote the method that fits your order and destination.

Which export documents will I receive?

  • Bill of lading (B/L)

Issued by the carrier; proves shipment and title to the goods.

  • Commercial invoice

States vehicles, VINs, values and the agreed Incoterm.

  • Packing list

Lists each vehicle and how it was loaded.

  • Certificate of origin

Confirms the vehicles were manufactured in China.

FOB, CFR or CIF: what is included?

We quote under the International Chamber of Commerce Incoterms® 2020 rules. The ICC describes Incoterms as rules that define the responsibilities of sellers and buyers for the delivery of goods. The most common for vehicle exports:

FOB — Free On BoardWe deliver the vehicles loaded on board the vessel at the Chinese port. You arrange and pay ocean freight and insurance.
CFR — Cost and FreightWe also pay sea freight to your destination port. Risk passes to you once the goods are on board in China.
CIF — Cost, Insurance and FreightAs CFR, plus minimum marine insurance arranged by us for the voyage.
