Why Overseas Dealers Are Pre-Ordering the New Changan NEVO Q06

The Changan NEVO Q06 went on sale in China on 23 September 2026 as a 2027 model-year midsize SUV. For importers, a brand-new model is a chance to offer something competitors do not yet carry. This article explains what the Q06 offers, how it differs from the models already in the range and what to settle before placing a pre-order.

What is new about the Changan NEVO Q06?

The Q06 is offered with two different powertrains in the same body. The battery-electric version runs on an 800-volt platform with 66.02 or 80.02 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, rated at 602 to 700 km on the CLTC cycle, and charges from 30 to 80 percent in about nine minutes on a capable DC charger. The range-extender (EREV) version combines a 28.39 kWh battery — 200 km of CLTC electric range — with a 1.5-litre generator and a 60-litre tank.

Every version drives the rear wheels. Single-motor versions produce 225 or 245 kW; dual-motor versions mount two motors on the rear axle for up to 330 kW, with a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 4.8 seconds.

Why does the Q06 suit export markets?

  • Two powertrains, one model. Dealers can sell the BEV in cities with fast charging and the EREV to customers who drive long distances, without training staff on two different cars.
  • Size and space. A 2,940 mm wheelbase and up to 2,200 litres of cargo space put it in the family-SUV segment that sells best in the Gulf, Russia and Central Asia.
  • Fast charging where it exists. The 800 V BEV makes the most of high-power chargers now appearing in major cities.
  • Freshness. A newly launched model gives showrooms a reason for customers to visit.

What should dealers check before pre-ordering?

  1. Export timing. Availability for a model this new is confirmed case by case; ask early and plan your launch date around the confirmed timeline.
  2. Edition. Decide between BEV and EREV, and between single and dual motor. LiDAR-equipped driver-assistance hardware is designed around Chinese road data; standard versions are usually better value abroad.
  3. Charging standard. Chinese models use GB/T connectors. Plan adapters or chargers if your market uses CCS2.
  4. Software and language. Confirm infotainment language and which connected services work in your country.
  5. Homologation. Check the conformity requirements in your market — see our market guides.

Q06 or an existing model?

If you need cars immediately, established models such as the Q05, Q07 PHEV and E07 are the safer choice for this season. Many dealers combine an early Q06 order for showroom launch with volume of a proven model. For a head-to-head comparison against the market's best-known plug-in SUV, read Q06 vs BYD Song PLUS.
